Meet our content marketer Roos

Since December, Roos van Straten has strengthened our content team as a marketer. She has now found her footing in the ‘MM lab’ and shares the story of her first months as an MM’er. Meet Roos: content marketer and sailing instructor!

Roos: “I haven’t been part of team MM for very long, but I already get so much freedom to work independently. Of course, I can always turn to my colleagues with any questions.”

A lot of variety

Roos is involved in many different tasks: “Managing social media, maintaining customer contact, and gathering input for social media posts. In addition, I contribute ideas about strategies to keep improving our clients’ content. My work is very varied, which I really enjoy.”

Creative marketer

“I studied Communication in Ede,” she continues. “During my studies, I specialized in e-marketing and social media by taking a minor. During my internships, I gained experience as a designer. This combination of visual creativity and marketing skills fits my role here perfectly! In addition, the work suits my preference for structure and planning.”

Personal and down-to-earth

Roos: “What makes MM special to me is the warm, personal, and down-to-earth atmosphere. It really feels like a team here, where everyone supports and values each other. That’s different from my previous experiences at larger companies, where there was often more distance. I truly feel part of MM: that helps me find my place and continue to develop myself.”

Learning More

“This is my first job in this field, so there is still a lot for me to learn — and I want to!” Roos laughs. “For example, I want to delve into how to effectively reach a specific target audience with social media content. Think of how you can use texts, visuals, and strategies to respond to the needs of the customer. That seems really cool to be able to do!”

Drinks and Sailing

Roos lives in Papendrecht, with her parents. “My sister also still lives at home, and my brother has already moved out. I love spending my free time with friends: I enjoy fun evenings, good food, and nice get-togethers. In addition, I am an enthusiastic sailor and I also teach sailing lessons on the Veerse Meer.”

Roos is very enthusiastic about her work at MM: “It feels like a place where I can develop my skills, but also be part of a creative and warm team!”
