Marjan and Sander Bongers took over the architecture firm from Cees Bongers five years ago. At the time, they thought it would be a good idea to reconsider how ‘Bongers Architecten’ presented itself. They also wanted to explore how they could become more outward-facing. Marjan Bongers enthusiastically explains how MM supported them in this process.
Your own Bongers
Bongers Architecten is based in Oud-Alblas. Their approach means more than just creating a design: they take their clients on a journey, bringing your dream home or business premises to life. With a combination of craftsmanship, a personal approach, and years of experience, they strive to realize ‘Your own Bongers’ together.
Clear story and strategy
“We saw that we could use some social channels, but didn’t really have an idea how to do this. We did a screening of marketing agencies, and MM was the one we chose. What we really appreciated during the orientation phase was that Martijn had a clear story and a strategy for how to approach things. He also spoke our language. Simple thinking and just action! We wanted to see whether we should keep the logo and the name, and whether the website needed to be addressed. And we really wanted a brochure.”
Writing our story
“We first held a strategic session with MM. The great thing about that was that we already started ‘writing our story’ then. We were allowed to show ourselves more! Those sessions also strongly brought out our vision and mission. We still make a lot of use of that, and it really fits us! We did that with the whole team: thinking together about what we stand for as a company.”

Great collaboration found
“Based on the outcomes of the strategic session, MM designed a refreshing new logo and proposed the slogan ‘Your own Bongers’. We had to get used to it, but it has truly become our starting point and feels completely our own. I think we, as a company, have been quite critical, because they also had their own ideas about visualizations and how things should be presented. But I am convinced that we have really found a fantastic collaboration!”
Personal and beautiful projects
“We got the most out of it. Everything has been updated: website, letterhead, logos, business cards… The copywriter also put into words who we are. It’s great to hear that clients who visit us say that our website and socials perfectly reflect what they experience with us. A personal way of working, combined with beautiful projects!”
Thinking along on multiple levels
“In addition, MM has brainstormed with us on several fronts. How we can approach certain matters, for example our trade fair stand. And it’s also important that they contributed ideas about ‘Growing together’. With that campaign, we are exploring new contacts and collaborations. They were also involved in setting up a business brochure. Quite extensive!”
An addition to our business operations
“It’s really nice to work together. The lines of communication are short, the people at MM know who we are and truly speak our language externally. In addition, they come up with ideas to help us move forward. It really is an addition to our business operations. Every two months we sit down together and discuss the content. What should we focus on? Which topics need to be discussed? What’s coming up? That’s really very pleasant.”
Marjan concludes: “Whenever I have questions, I can always reach out and they think along. It’s nice that they know our company well. They know what’s going on and we trust each other. We always make something fun out of it!”
