Meet our account manager Justin

Justin Damen (21) from Hardinxveld-Giessendam has been working at MM for several months as an account manager and content marketer. A dual role that makes Justin widely deployable.

What did you do before this?

‘I studied HBO Commercial Economics at Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda. After two years, I realized that studying wasn’t really my thing and decided to take a gap year. At that time, I was already working at McDonald’s in Hardinxveld-Giessendam as a shift manager. During the two years I was studying, I worked my way up from crew member to crew trainer and from there to shift manager. Internally, I followed the training program and learned the tricks of the trade in practice.

How did you end up at MM?

Justin has known Martijn Muller for a while through the football club in Hardinxveld. “Martijn knew I was looking for something new and approached me to come and have a look at MM. I spent a day shadowing account manager Evert. That same day, I was already allowed to brainstorm about a new name for an organization. I immediately got excited and saw a future here!”

What kind of work do you do?

I get the opportunity to learn and discover a lot in the world of content creation and account management! This way, I not only learn broadly about the work at MM, but I can also find out what suits me best. Right now, I mainly support several colleagues, but I’m gradually allowed to do more on my own. For example, with content, I help with posting messages on the website and social media.

How do you like working at MM and with the other MM’ers?

What immediately struck me during that trial day was the atmosphere: you can walk into anyone’s office, you have lunch together, and during the break you also have the opportunity to play games or do other activities like darts or table football. I really enjoy working here!
