Ten years of MP at MM!

Melinda Prins followed in the footsteps of her brother Marcel and started at MM ten years ago. Now, 10 years later, Melinda is an indispensable part of our team and is celebrating this special anniversary! Our creative takes you on a trip down memory lane and shares ten unforgettable moments from her time in our lab.

Melinda: “Choosing ten highlights? That’s quite a challenge: there’s so much to choose from!”

#1 A literal highlight

Melinda’s first big adventure literally went sky-high! “During one of my first major assignments, I got to take a flight to shoot aerial photos with the photographer for a client. And yes, I got to fly myself! An experience I will never forget.”

#2 Cards for colleagues

“We’ve done so many cool projects! Think of Bezoek Gerrit, Morning, Horus, Residentie de Noord, The River Estates, Luxalon, and Wisse. But designing birth and wedding cards for my colleagues, that’s definitely the most special and personal thing!”

#3 Team time

“Our team outings are legendary. Great food, plenty of G&Ts with the girls, and of course the MM Festival for our fifteenth anniversary. That was fantastic! Both the preparations and the day itself were really amazing!”

#4 Watch & learn

“Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about design, animation, interaction design, and usability. From my colleagues, but also through self-study and various courses. You learn the most by just doing it! And there’s still so much more to learn and I’m far from done!”

#5 MM on the move

“It’s amazing to see how MM has grown and to be part of such a close-knit team. The move to our new building in Sliedrecht was definitely a highlight as well. And working with my brother? Well, most of the time it’s really fun and special.” 

#6 Learning during lab hours

“Together with the other creatives, we introduced lab hours. During these hours, we expand our skills on all kinds of topics. Working and learning together, that remains inspiring!”

#7 Table football talents

Relaxing? At MM, we do that with a game of table football! “Every day after lunch, a fierce match and sometimes a rematch at the end of the day. Of course, we can't go home as losers…" 😜

#8 LOL

“A former colleague always wrote the most brilliant Sinterklaas poems. And the MM roast at the end of 2023 was truly hilarious. I can't wait for the next edition!”

#9 The cherry on top

“The little surprises from our clients, like a delicious cake, brownies by mail, or a bottle of wine, are really the cherry on top. It's great to feel that your work is appreciated in that way. And it's also a moment to reflect on completing that wonderful project.”

#10 European Championship Queen

“Last but not least: I won the 2024 European Championship pool! (And so I beat all the guys with football knowledge, haha.) Justin, I'm still waiting for my prize!”

Melinda ends her ‘trip down memory lane’ with a look to the future: “I want to keep growing, both personally and professionally. There is always room for improvement and new challenges. I look forward to experiencing many more wonderful moments together with the team!” Those are beautiful words, Melinda, and of course we say CONGRATULATIONS and here's to the next 1️⃣0️⃣!
